On Wednesday, December 11, World Business Chicago’s CASE team held a Business ShowCASE: Marketing Pitch Day.

Chicago anchors – the city’s anchor institutions, including hospitals and universities joined CASE-ready marketing businesses as they “pitched” their services to the anchors who are committed to sourcing local talent. The goal of the event was for local companies to gain new insights into creative marketing practices, to make new connections and to spark new ideas.

The 2019 participating companies included, XXY Team, Jak Creative Design, Mightbytes, RLM Media, Magnolia Printing, and Ensemble Media.

The team of judges included: Edward Mitchell, Advocate Aurora Health, Rich Matula, AMITA Health, Violet Gudino, Lurie Children’s Hospital, Jim Konrad, Northwestern University, John Andrews, Rush University Medical Center, Amy Srodon, University of Chicago, and Eric Tritch, University of Chicago Medicine.

CASE is committed to providing market access for small and medium-sized businesses seeking contract and growth opportunities. Hosting events like the Business ShowCASE: Marketing Pitch Day gives anchor institutions an opportunity to meet local business owners, evaluate their presentations, and provide invaluable feedback to set the businesses up for success and future opportunities.
